Accessibility
We have worked with AccessAble so you can find out about our facilities before you visit. AccessAble’s surveyors assessed our venue to create a Detailed Access Guide. Check out the Detailed Access Guide to Coastal Communities Museum.
We want everyone who comes to our museum to enjoy their time with us and make the most of their visit.
The museum is situated on the first floor of a Grade C Listed building, above the local library. The museum can be accessed by stair or lift. Once on the first floor, there is level access and plenty of room between exhibits for wheelchair access.
There are toilet facilities on the First Floor and a Changing Places accessible toilet with adult changing facility and baby changing facility on the Ground Floor. Guide dogs, hearing dogs and other recognised assistance dogs are welcome in the museum. For those hard of hearing, there is a Hearing Loop.
Accessible parking is located in the library car park adjacent to the museum.
